Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone's week is going well so far. I just have a couple of quick notes and then I will be done for the day. The first is that I am proud to announce that I have been promoted to Captain and will take over command of the USS Gallant , which is of course the prototype of the new Daedalus class Fast Attack vessel. Although I joined Starfleet to explore the universe I decided to take command of this new attack vessel in order to help defend the Universe against all alien aggression. I took this picture of myself and my son in my new Captain's shirt shortly after I was chosen for the command. I will not be able to take the family on this vessel as it is a warship not an exploration vessel, but I will stay in contact daily, when I can. After a nearly 20 year career in Starfleet I am finally ready to take the responsibility that comes with sitting in the Captain's chair, Live long and prosper!
The Second note is a little more serious but it needs to be mentioned, I just want to clarify to my readers that I make up about 75% of the stuff I write on this blog, unless it is a real rant or rave about government or corruption or any other the other icky bad stuff happening. I like satire and sarcasm, with that being said I wrote this reminder because I got a little bit of flack yesterday for the whole Disney dog thing. Of all the stuff I have written in this blog, people actually took offense to me categorizing and explain the various species of animals in the Disney World. It was a joke, it was not real, there is no maid with a stack of books and journals and there was never anything written to explain any of the stuff I wrote yesterday, it was a FABRICATION for entertainment purposes only, I'm sorry if I destroyed some childhood fantasies about whether there can be two kinds of dogs in a CARTOON world! This is there exact reason why I was so happy to take this assignment on the Starship, I need to get as far away from this backward planet as possible. I have written about war, greed, poverty, famine, the destruction of the environment, and even worse atrocities that have plagued our world and yet the biggest reaction I get to date is over me deconstructing the evolution of cartoon animals. I'm lucky I didn't get into the religion of the Disney world!
okay then I shall return tomorrow with an awesome throwback Thursday for the ages.....................
................PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
