Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I took this picture in the summer while in Bayfield. This pond had three little children statues placed throughout it, I believe I posted a picture of the little boy holding the sailboat this past summer and now I am posting this one in honor of my daughter, Alexis. I was informed late last week that she is going to be married, and I have never been so happy for my oldest child as I am right now. Her destiny brought her not only to Australia for school but also to meet her future husband. When I took this picture it reminded me of her, always reading, learning wanting to know more. Although I know she would have never worn a dress at this age, I knew this was the best representation of my daughter I could find without actually using her likeness. I can still remember her first words and I will never forget her fascination with dinosaurs when she was a toddler. I brought her to one of the Jurassic Park movies and I think we watched every single Land Before Time movie a hundred times a day but even back then she was always so curious and so intuitive. I haven't always been there for her and I can never take those days back but when I she how great she has become I know she will be just fine and that is truly the only thing a parent wants for there child, to know they will be safe and make excellent adults. I am so proud of her and wish her and her fiancé all the best! Congrats Alexis and I will see you in January?.....................PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ps: if you are in the Ashland Daily Press coverage area, my picture is in it for being the artist of the month for December, a few of my pieces are on display at the BMO bank in Ashland..............................................
