I decided to take the old sailboat out for a ride through
the grass this past fall and I took some pictures of my journey, this is one I
took while my cat was Captaining the boat.
Although since a boat is technically a craft used in water we haven’t
figured out what to call a grass riding vessel with a sail and shaped like a
sea going vessel should be called. I
know some of you are probably asking how my cat and I got a boat to sail on top
of a sea of GRASS ,
but you shouldn’t worry yourselves about trivial details like that when the
answer is simple, Anything is Possible! So if my cat and I wanted to sail a
boat on grass without a sail we can, easily.
We had a great day the wind was in our favor (even though we didn't use a sail, but the wind currents did effect the sway of the grass) and we picked a nice big
green field of grass to traverse. We
took turns steering while we sipped lemonade and told stories about our
favorite pirates., that of course got us onto the subject of favorite Star Trek Captains and the fur started flying! Myrrh
is a classic fan, Kirk all the way, while I am a vehement Picard fan and our
resulting argument (we call them debates) lasted well over an hour and after I
threatened to jump out of the boat and walk home we changed the subject. Even with the debate about our favorite
captain the day was awesome, it isn’t very often that I get to go grass sailing
with my cat so they are very special moments and I am glad I decided to brave
the depths of the grass to get a picture of our very special boat.
Anything is Possible when you use your imagination, and I am
a firm believer that an active imagination is good for all ages. If you don’t believe me I will let you use
this picture to jump start it for you, imagine yourself and whoever you want
sailing, or skimming, however the locomotion works, on a grass gliding boat on
a perfect late summer day. Grab some
lemonade and let the stories fly, or float, or glide, or skim………………..PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
