Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone’s week is going well.  I have been so busy with work that I have been neglecting my normal rants and raves on here.  I’m sure you are all happy with just the pictures and no anti-government, anti-human rhetoric but if I don’t vent every once in a while, I fear a stroke or brain hemorrhage will be imminent.  Today while reading a local newspaper (the Reader, a free publication with tendencies leaning toward my beliefs, like corrupt government and lies the main stream media tell) I found a few tidbits that I’d like to share with you all.  With everything that is happening in Fergueson, Mo.  Which I will refrain from commenting on today, I was lucky to stumble upon these two articles to show you all just a few examples of how not-free we really are.  Anyone who thinks we live in a truly free society is living a pipe dream and the argument that we have to lose a few rights to guarantee others is also nothing but malarkey! Anyhow here are the two tidbits, paraphrased: I won’t comment on them as they make me too mad and my responses would be pages long and I don’t have that sort of time right now but I hope they cause some sort of reaction in you the reader.

The first was about the billionaire businessmen/political meddlers the Koch brothers, if you aren’t familiar with them I implore you to investigate further for they are truly a part of what is wrong with this world, here is the paraphrased article:

The Koch’s convene a “secret” summit of the super-rich twice a year to plot strategy and pledge millions of dollars to their political efforts.  In June they held one such summit entitled, American Courage, David Koch gave a keynote talk titled “Saving America”.  The meaning of the speech was to assure the assembled billionaires that the GOP would continue to defend the right to buy elections, and when Senate Minority leader McConnell in fact assured the assembled super-rich that they would always be able to control elections via campaign donations, the men shelled out over $500 million this year to turn the Senate over to republican control.

If that doesn’t tell you who really runs this country you must live under a rock.  Here is the second even more disturbing article:

In the midst of the city of Detroit’s water crackdown-shutting off the water of residents delinquent on their bills-the Council of Canadians has come to the rescue.  First, the council pressed the UN to label Detroit’s program a human rights violation (the denial of clean drinking water to the 3,000 homes per week being shut down).  Said the council chair, “I’ve only seen this oppression in the poorest countries in the world.”  Second the council arranged a convoy of “good Canadian, public, clean water” into Detroit in July. How can anyone decide who gets water and who doesn’t? How can anyone claim to be free when something as basic as water is taxed, regulated, distributed and withheld from the people?
I apologize for the way this posted, there is something definitely wrong with my word program! Please refrain from rolling your eyes in disgust at my horrible sentence/paragraph structure.  I am once again experiencing severe technical difficulties with this site. I also forgot to mention that I chose this picture for today because I feel as if the sculpture is supposed to show our innocence and freedom as a child and I believe that both of those qualities have left this world................PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
