A few weeks ago I mentioned how I was nervous about letting my wife enter a few of my pictures into a local art contest and honestly I was certain that I had no chance against real photographers and I almost pulled them out of the competition like I did last year, but my wife convinced me to be patient and keep them entered.  I had all but given up on thinking positively about it since the date for the judging had come and past and I hadn't heard anything, I even went so far as to remind my wife that it was her that made me enter the stupid contest and how much of a waste of time I thought it was.  I had made up my mind that I would just keep my pictures to myself and my blog (occasionally an FB post) and stay out of any more photography competitions until I could master the craft more.  Yesterday I was informed that this picture was chosen as one of the winners in the Photography division.  I have to admit I was really happy about it since I haven't won much of anything in my life and I had been so sure I didn't stand a chance.  I still don't think I am a master and there is much more I have to do to feel comfortable about my photography but I have to admit it sure feels good to be on the winning end of something every once in a while.  I also think this may just give me the confidence to go even further with this special hobby of mine.  Anyhow I don't want to sit here and toot my own horn since I strongly believe in hubris and karma but I do want to say THANK YOU to all of you who enjoy my pictures and my blog, without you I certainly wouldn't be where I am and I have to say a very special Thank You to my awesome wife for making me enter my pictures in the first place.  So I am going to enjoy my victory for today and then tomorrow it will be back to business, thanks everyone and I will see you all again real soon.................PEACE!!!!!!!!!
