It has been almost 2 weeks and I am still going through my
first memory card, which means I still have about 8-9,000 more to go. My mission to free up computer space has also
been sidetracked as I find it harder and harder to get rid of any of them and I
have yet to place a single one on a back-up disk. I need to hurry as I have a feeling my
computer could go belly up at any moment.
I still have all the originals on the memory cards but all of my editing
is on the computers. I have also been
doing pretty decent with my emotional management during the last few weeks and
other than one minor blow out on the phone with the township rednecks I feel
like I may have gotten at least minor control over my anger. Add the fact that spring is right around the
corner and I will be in Milwaukee
attending a baseball game in less than 3 weeks also makes it easier to wake up
in the morning. Spring is here, or will
be shortly and I am hoping that this spring/summer will be one of my best
ever. I have been spending a few minutes
a night catching up on the proper use of the camera and all of its fancy
functions, my goal is to have at least another 5,000 pictures taken before
summer ends. The idea that we are just
weeks away from warm weather and no more snow has made life that much more
acceptable right now. My work week
begins anew today but I am happy in the thought that spring is just days away
and I am just weeks away from enjoying my favorite season of the year.
Now as for the picture I posted, I am not sure why I took
this but when I was walking by it I had a sudden urge to start snapping
pictures, of course it is nothing more than a sewer grate, but to me that was
the last thing I imagined. Why would
they need to block it? Are they hiding giant man eating alligators that have
been flushed down the toilet throughout the years? Maybe it is a secret passage
to an underground lair for a superhero.
My favorite thought was that it is a staging area for the Mole-people
army that is planning on taking over the surface world. The possibilities are endless and that is the
whole reason I love taking pictures, because they truly are worth a thousand
words, sometimes more, sometimes less, but they always spark my imagination and
as long as I can dream and think I am alive and that is all that matters. Have a great day and as always………PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!
