Happy Wednesday! I have found that there are three things that are almost impossible to capture good pictures of unless a ton of patience is involved, they are in no particular order of difficulty: bubbles, spider webs in nature and toddlers. Bubbles break and because they are opaque make snapping a decent pic almost impossible, while spider webs outside pose the same problem with transparency and finding a focal point and well of course toddlers because the majority of them can't sit still long enough to get a focused shot. Last night I was determined to take some pictures of a bubble or two and even went so far as to go online to look for an indestructible bubble recipe. I found one but it was for the gigantic outdoor bubbles (which I fully intend on using this spring for outdoor giant bubble shots) so I tried tweaking it to work for tiny bubbles. Well it did and didn't work. It was very tough getting a bubble to come out of the bubble wand and 9 times out of 10 when one did burb its way out it either popped right away from the force of my breath or it wandered too far away from me to capture and the cats destroyed it. I guess my point is that I never thought a hobby of mine would have anything to do with needing patience because anyone who knows me knows I have very little at all yet when it comes to my photography I have no problems sitting at my desk for two hours trying to wrangle and shoot a picture of a bubble or laying on a wet beach for an hour trying to get the perfect shot of some sand. I guess the moral of the story today is that if you truly like doing something it can make you do or try things you didn't think you were able to do. This picture isn't the greatest picture of a bubble, not by a long shot, heck I've taken better on accident, the point is I didn't give up trying like I normally would and now that I have an idea on how to make indestructibubbles (my name for them) I will keep trying to capture the hard shots. They are way more satisfying anyhow. Well have a great day and I shall return tomorrow with another edition of Throwback Thursday! In the meantime enjoy the bubble............PEACE!!!!!!!
