Happy Monday to all! I hope everyone’s weekend was decent.  I was going through my pictures today and actually had a hard time picking which one I wanted to post.  I took this one in late October of last year.  I took this one from the beach and the way the fog was rising it kind of reminded me of the legends of Sir Arthur, and the mystical island Avalon.  Supposedly that is where King Arthur was buried after he was killed in battle.  As I stood there on the beach staring out into the fog trying to catch a glimpse of the land behind it I imagined myself standing next to the legendary king on the eve of a great battle.

“What do you see when you look out there?”  The king asked me.

“I see the water and the fog of course, but other than that I don’t see anything.”  I replied sadly.

The legendary King and hero of Ancient England put his hand on my shoulder and spoke.  His voice flowed with the elegance one would expect an English monarch to posses, it held me in sway as I listened intently.  “The fog obscures your mortal vision but do not let it obscure what you see in your mind, or feel in your heart.  Sometimes the best way to look at something is with your eyes closed.  Allow your inner sight to show you what you need to see.  Never fear what you don’t understand, instead use your inner mind to learn from it, use it to your advantage.  A great warrior does not need to be strong physically if they are strong mentally.  The Ancient Gods gave us the gift of knowledge and wisdom, these two things alone can prevail over any situation, no matter how dire you feel the circumstances may be.  The only true way to defeat the forces that are intent on destroying us is to understand the darkness instead of fearing it.  Fear is all that evil has and unfortunately it is a powerful weapon, but the more you learn about something the less fearful it becomes.  The heart and soul of a human are as powerful as anything evil has and knowing how to find your inner warrior can make all the difference.”  He stopped for a moment and squeezed my shoulder, we stood in absolute silence for a few seconds before he continued, ‘You are standing on this beach because this is where you are supposed to be, you are afraid and frustrated because you know your destiny is out there behind the fog but since you can’t see it with your eyes you feel hopeless and defeated.  Yet instead of giving up and forgetting your dreams your inner self created me to explain that the fog is just another obstacle that can be overcome.  Do not fear the fog, do not let the fog stop you, instead use it to your advantage.  Turn your fear into curiosity, learn from the unknown, use the wisdom of your past and nothing can stand in your way.  Every day is another step toward your very own Avalon as long as you don’t let your fear stop you.”

He didn’t even stick around to say good bye, he just sort of faded away as he spoke his last few words.  I stood on the beach and stared into the fog after a few minutes I closed my eyes and saw an island sitting peacefully behind the dark mist, it looked peaceful and inviting and it made me smile knowing it was indeed there.  I opened my eyes and looked back into the fog and smiled knowing that somewhere behind the darkness was my own Avalon waiting patiently for me to find it.

PEACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
